You’ve found a platinum engagement ring you know she’ll love, but when it comes to her ring size, you’re stumped. And this is one purchase you need to get right the first time. Here are a few foolproof ways to figure out her ring size to ensure that everything about the platinum stunner you’re about to propose with is the perfect fit.
Take a pen or pencil, and a sheet of paper. Using one of her existing rings, draw the outer ring, then draw the inner ring. Make sure you’re using a ring that she currently wears on “ring” finger (the one next to the pinky on the left hand). Take this to a jeweler for his or her expertise. Keep in mind that a ring should be comfortable — a little snug but with some room. If it falls between two sizes, size up.
This one is harder to do in secret, but you can always take a tape measure and measure around her finger. Some guys do this with a piece of string, which they take to the jeweler.
